Fortigate Blank Web Page?

KB ID 0001713

Problem

I’ve been trying to deploy a Fortigate into EVE-NG (article to follow) this week. I could get the appliance running fine but when I tried to access the web management console all I got was the following.

Note: I have a couple of management VMs in EVE-G (Windows 7 and Server 2012), they had a mixture of IE, Chrome and Firefox on them but still I could not get in?

Solution

All forums yielded no more info other than ‘Check you have allowed access for http“. But as you can see (above) for Fortinet Logo is on the windows I was hitting the firewall and http was allowed? (Also the http daemon was running inside the appliance.

Just for fun I connected the outside interface to my test network, allowed http, and tried from there, it worked perfectly? So I deployed another Fortigate and connected the ‘inside’ interface to my test network, again it worked fine? At this point it was becoming obvious that my management machines browsers were probably the problem. Is I deployed a new Kali Linux VM fired up Firefox and;

That took a LOT longer than it needed to!

Exchange – OWA and ECP Blank Page After Logon

ECP Blank Page KB ID 0001185

Problem

Note: This article is for Exchange 2013,2016 and 2019, if you are running Exchange 2010 or 2007 see the following article;

Exchange 2010 – Blank OWA Page?

Sometimes this happens after applying updates to Exchange! Firstly make sure all your services a running! From an administrative Powershell window run the following command;

[box]

Get-Service *Exchange* | Start-Service

[/box]

After making some certificate changes in Exchange 2016 this week, I found that the Outlook Web Access and Exchange Management websites would not work? I was presented with the normal login dialog, but after a successful authentication this happened.

ECP Blank Page: Solution

This happens because the website that runs the ‘Exchange Backend’ has lost the certificate for its https binding.

Open the Internet Information Services Management snap-in > Server-name > Sites  > Exchange Back End > Edit Bindings > https (444) > Edit > Select the correct certificate for Exchange.

Then restart the site, or run ‘iisreset’, or simply reboot the server.

Exchange 2010 – Blank OWA Page?

KB ID 0000429

Problem

When trying to access Outlook Web App (or Outlook Web Access for those used to earlier versions of Exchange), you see a blank white page and nothing else.

The certificate and IIS works but no OWA.

Solution

This is usually due to an exchange pre-requisite that is missing, or one of them is not working.

1. Launch the Exchange Management Shell, (Start > All Programs > Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 > Exchange Management Shell).

2. Issue the following command.

[box]Import-Module ServerManager[/box]

3. Issue the following command.

[box]Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework,RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Metabase,Web-Net-Ext,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,WAS-Process-Model,RSAT-Web-Server,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Digest-Auth,Web-Dyn-Compression,NET-HTTP-Activation,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy -Restart[/box]

4. Issue the following command.

[box]Set-Service NetTcpPortSharing -StartupType Automatic[/box]

5. Retry OWA.
