I don’t usually use IE, so when I was asked how to do this I didn’t have the answer to hand.

1. Whilst you have IE open > Locate the small “Cog” icon (top right).

2. From the menu presented choose “Internet Options”.

3. Select the “Privacy” tab and locate the “Turn on Pop-up blocker” option, and ensure it is NOT selected > Apply > OK.

4. Then restart the browser.

When working online usually within a form, clicking a drop down box causes IE to Crash And restart.

Note: This solution is for PC’s with HP Protect tools / Credential Manager installed

1. Start > Run > appwiz.cpl {enter}.
2. Locate the “HP Protect Tools Security Manager suite.”

3. This is what needs to be uninstalled however if you try you may see the following error,

4. So uninstall the following first.

5. Then remove “HP Protect Tools Security Manager suite.” and reboot.
