HP – Printer not configured to collate

Usually when trying to print a multi page document.

Solution

1. Start > Control Panel > Printers

2. Locate the printer > Right Click > Properties.

3. Device Settings > Mopier Mode > Set to Disabled.

4. Apply OK Windows 7 You don’t have “Mopier Mode”, do the following. 1. Start > Control Panel > Devices and Printers. 2. Double click the printer > Adjust Print Options > Change “Advanced Printing Features” to Disabled.

HP 2055 Printer Prints and extra page with ‘GET /DevMgmt/DiscoverTree.xml HTTP/1.1’ on it

Problem

A client whose HP 2055 printers had previously worked fine, then all of them suddenly started doing this? They had recently installed a Laserjet 400 Network printer and suspected that was the cause. When they printed something they got an extra page like so;

GET /DevMgmt/DiscoverTree.xml HTTP/1.1
Host : 127.0.0.1:8080

and / or

PCL XL Error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalTag
Operator: 0x
Position: 6255

Solution

Right click the printer in question > Printer properties > Device Settings > Set Printer Status Notifications to Disabled > Set Duplex Unit to Installed > Apply > OK.
