Problem

Has annoyed me for a while, first seen in vSphere4 ESX, a guest Windows  machine “Suspends” after a while.

Solution

1. Power the Windows  VM down.

2. Right click the VM and Select “Edit Settings”.

3. Select the VM Options Tab > Power Management > Select “Put OS into standby mode..” > OK.

4. Power the VM on again, problem sorted.
