Broadcom Network Cards Disappeared

Problem

After Driver upgrade on Server 2008 – Broadcom network cards disappear.

Seen with Broadcom NC373 (On board) and 373T (PCI) Cards.

1. Roll back the Driver – Use 4.4.24.0 cp009703.exe

2. Install the above and reboot, On board chips will still not be visible (until step 3 is completed) PCI card NIC will be visible.

3. Turn on Hidden devices in device manager

start > run > cmd {enter}
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1″ {enter}

4. Locate the DOWNED NIC under system devices > Right click enable.

5. Set IP addresses and reboot.
