LogMeIn – “Your session has timed out or the host went offline during your connection attempt”

Problem

Your session has timed out or the host went offline

You get the “Your session has timed out or the host went offline during your connection attempt” error when trying to connect to a logmein session.

Solution

On the target (remote) PC / Server

Firstly make sure that LogMeIn on the target machine is not in the middle of updating itself,

Then,

1. Start > Run > CMD {enter}
2. Net stop logmein {enter}
3. Net start logmein {enter}
