Problem
Error: Windows cannot access specified device, path or file… Happens when trying to run a program form a network share.
Solution
If the Permissions are correct to the network share you are trying to access
Note: Seen on 2003 Server with IE Enhanced Security Pack installed
1. Launch Internet Explorer on the machine exhibiting the problem.
2. Tools Internet Options > security > Trusted Sites > Sites > Add
3. Type in server you are trying to access like servername (Un tick Require server verification (https)” > Add.
4. Close > OK
5. Try again.
