Problem
I rebuilt my Laptop this week, after reinstalling iTunes I plugged in my iPhone to be greeted with this;
iTunes could not connect to the {device} {device name} because the pairing record is missing.
Solution
1. Unplug the iPhone/iPad/iPod from the computer.
2. Close iTunes.
3. Plug the device back in again.
4. Restart iTunes.
